Abductor Pollicis Longus (APL) Anatomy

Origin: Middle third of the posterior surfaces of the ulna and radius, and the interosseous membrane.

Insertion: Base of the first metacarpal bone of the thumb.

Innervation: Posterior interosseous nerve.

Nerve: Radial nerve (via its deep branch)
